best descibes the attitude of the members and management at the Port Townsend Golf Club when it comes to Junior Golf. In addition to our middle school Cougar Club and our junior high after school and advanced PE golf programs, PTGC continues to support and host the high school golf team. This year PTGC will continue its summer golf camps and help coordinate local participation in WJGA and Junior Tour events. This year we will also coordinate a home & home tournament program with other Peninsula courses.

2007 Junior Golf Day Camps
This year the Port Townsend Golf Course will be running special Junior Golf Camps with more individualized instruction for truely interested young golfers. Junior Tournaments - Sign ups begin for the 2007 WJGA
The registration deadline for 2007 sign ups for the WJGA is May 31st. There are four qualifying tournaments before the district and state tournaments. The 2007 schedule is: Sudden Valley Gof & Country Club - Bellingham - Sunday June 17th Legion Memorial Golf Course - Everett - Monday June 25th Semiahmoo Golf Resort - Blaine - Tuesday July 3rd Skagit Golf & Country Club - Burlington - Monday July 9th The District 1 Championship will be held at Whidbey Golf & Country Club, Oak Harbor July 16 & 17 and the State Championship will be held at Fircrest, Fort Lewis, and Meadow Park Golf Courses July 25 - 27.
